Air assist.

M7 and M8 are mainly used to control the air auxiliary air valve and the exhaust fan relay. You can buy this according to your own needs. The simultaneous control commands in lightburn need GCODE control. If you need to cut high-density materials, it is recommended to use more than 30PSI air pressure, you can Adjust the air pressure according to the actual situation
Drag chain size:# 10X20MM

Helli @Jim

Thank you, so i can directly just connect my compressor without the M7 or M8 controller as i dont mind having continuous airflow.
As for the drag chain, i was more asking for a file, because i have a friend with a 3D printer and i would like him to create them for me.

Kinf regards,
Bogdan

yes

Hello @Jim

So i put the air assist together. For the moment i’m using the needle-type air assist since the oil-water separator did not arrive.
What i want to know is, when i will receive it and connect it by the second method, do i remove the lens, or do i keep it?

Kind regards
Bogdan

reserve

Excuse me, i don’t understand, what does “reserve” mean?

No need to remove the lens when using the needle valve

Hello Jim

You do not understand me. At this moment i’m using the needle type air assist and the lens is on.
But I understood from you previous messages, that if i’m using the build in air supply with the air-oil filter, I should remove the lens.
So tomorrow I will get the filter and I want to know if I should keep the lens on or not.
I attached a photo of the air supply method i will start using.

Ok, i understand that i need to change the nozzle. But the transparent lens should stay on, or off?
The one i just attached now.

This protective lens must be installed

Ok, so it does not matter they airflow method i choose, the protective lens will stay on.

The protective lens is necessary because the lens inside the diode is not replaceable

Hello Jim

Sorry to go into this, but I want to be sure of my purchase that I will go through with.

Which system do you recommend using on the Neje 4 max to achieve a better result for your carving? I mainly want to start cutting acrylic panels and wood such as plywood.

If I understand the messages here correctly, I would order the following:

The automatic valve 24v + air compressor + oil water separator in combination with the metal air tube.

Is this correct?

Thanks

Dimaxo

Metal air pipe, included in E80 module and MAX 4 E80 machine.
You don’t need air assistance when cutting acrylic, but you do need it for wood such as plywood. If the oil-water separator is better and the air source is clean, you don’t need the needle type. If the air source is not clean, it is recommended to use the needle type and clean the lens frequently.

Hey Jim
Thank you for your answer.
I just wonder how you make the connection between the large coupling of the oil/water separator to the thin flexible intestine of Neje 4 Max itself.

Is there a coupling piece to bridge the diameters? How did you approach this?

thanks

Dimitri

It is equipped with an 8mm to 4mm connector and a 4mm connector. You need to choose whether you need to add a connector according to the diameter of your trachea.

ok, thanks Jim :slightly_smiling_face:

I would like to have 2 air sources - the built in air assist for the E80 on my Max 4 and a high pressure compressor. The snapshot of this video is contradictory - it is saying internal air goes to high bar compressor, and the external connected to the air assist pump. But the red arrows are pointing to opposite tubes. Which is it?

And to connect a high pressure compressor to my Max 4, do I need this?
