The A40630 is designed with a variable focal length. You can adjust the focus by selecting the lens. When adjusting the focus, wear goggles, first move the module to find a smaller focus, put a black piece of paper or other items on the bottom, and then make fine adjustments when rotating the lens.

then, once found focus, take a measure from the bottom of the laser head to the surface of the material you have focused and this will be your focus distance until you had to clean lens or change it. I mean… for engraving or cutting materials of different heights you only need to move up or down the entire head according to the distance you took once focused.
