Problem with engraving

Yesterday I wanted to engrave again after a while. I made one piece of engraving 40x 40mm without any problems from lightburn, but then it wouldn’t engrave normally anymore. Parts of the engraving were missing. After a while the focus light also disappears, but when I start the laser, it turns on. I also changed the laser head but it’s the same.

What could be wrong, I have a Neje 2S max laser

This is a relatively older model. Please power off the machine​ and manually push the laser head along the X and Y axes. Check if the movement feels smooth.

Since it has been sitting unused for a long time, the bearings and rails likely need cleaning and re-lubrication. Please inspect if the bearings are still sliding smoothly.
