Neje software for Windows issues: 6.7 and 6.6

I lifted the file limit.
Fixed the issue of (*.nc, *.gc)

If you don’t want to update the firmware, you can simply close this window.
Why do this?
Because we recommend always keeping the firmware up to date

Jack, but this is the problem, I mentioned it already: if I close the window, it pops up again after 10-15 sec, and so on.
Also, I don’t see a fixed ‘The parking coordinate is the position where your device’ text wrapping. Will it be a next software version?

To be honest, I am not happy with that ‘sensor-less homing’ feature. This IS definitely an over-engineering, solution with buttons is simpler, reliable and universal.

This ‘sensor-less’ involved a lot of changes - MB layout, cabling system, software changes. I don’t see a single advantage gained.

I closed the pop-up window in version 6.8.3, and it no longer pops up. You mentioned it will pop up again in 10-15 seconds. Could I please see your recorded video?

You can send the video to gofile.io, thank you.

Yes, Next version, I will send you an debug version here:

Regarding sensorless technology, it simplifies wiring, streamlines mechanical design, and reduces the hassle of limit switch malfunctions—it’s a good design, although there are still some areas for optimization.

Hopefully, the sensorless design hasn’t caused you any more problems. If it makes a clicking sound during reset, please add a foam pad.

Failure to Stop at the End (makes a sound and stops after 1 second)

Verify that the impact pad is present and functioning. Add a 5mm-thick EVA tape (like this) to the impact pad to improve cushioning. If the EVA foam pad is worn and no longer provides cushioning, replace it with a new one.

Jack, excuse me, there is nothing personal and I understand you have nothing to do with that ‘improvement’. Please, no offense.

BUT

please deliver that to the management :
whenever I read ’ simplifies wiring, streamlines mechanical design, and reduces the hassle of limit switch malfunctions ’ - this is a 146% BS and corporate hypocrisy, nothing else. Tell them they should come up with better excuse, this one is so pathetic.

I received your video and at first I did not reproduce your problem.

Later I tried flashing all the firmware to v2.2.3 and successfully reproduced your issue.

The reason is that the v6.8.3 software does not work with the v2.2.3 firmware, and you need to update to the latest version of the firmware.

This is why we highly recommend updating your firmware.

If you think the new firmware is bad, please tell me why, and if the request is reasonable, we will improve and provide a firmware update so that you can have the same experience as the v2.2.3 firmware.

More about sensorless reset
We have seriously considered the pros and cons, and we took inspiration from the famous brand Tuozhu Technology’s 3D printer.
If you feel that there is something wrong with the infinite switch reset, you can tell me, and we will improve our product.

Jack, BTW, imagine I don’t have internet access and I am trying to run your software with brand new MB with 2.2.3 firmware.

Because of missing option of NOT UPDATING throw the network, I will not be able to use the engraver!
You need to make your software backward compatible to older firmware, and especially because currently these MBs have this firmware installed by default!
About sensor-less feature:

I already pointed out the problem with homing when motors are stalled and toothed belt is slipping through drive wheel cogs. This inevitably leads to damaging belt teeth and eventually breaking the belt or damaging motor.

This feature, even implemented by some big boss brand, on affordable laser engraver is inappropriate.

And, BTW, the same about wifi. It is like your designers are convinced ‘everything is better with wifi’.

Here is a flash news: home laser engraver does not need wifi! Wifi adds NO VALUE except but price raise.
In reality, this is just adding useless bells and whistles to initially good device in order to raise price and get more profits.

We see a loot of such stuff nowadays, starting from using numerous touch switches for…car controls(!!! what a morons!) and up to numerous ‘improvements’ of notorious MS Windows OS, totally useless and having only purpose to keep the profit running.

Please don’t be like thous capitalist sharks, stay professional.

Thanks for the suggestion

On the other hand, the wifi has only increased by less than 1$ The cost is on the control board, and the wifi and USB functionality is still retained, which is not an intrusive improvement.
It may be helpful for some recognitions, but it is not disruptive and will not affect previous functionality.

No matter what I try I cannot download the system software 2.3.0. I have tried 4 versions back of the update windows application to see if it can find the firmware.

Jack, that’s exactly the situation I warned you about:

user should be able to keep working with old firmware if the update is unavailable.

Hi, I have CDN enabled for all download links, this should fix your issue, please try the update again.

We will work hard to do a good job of compatibility between forward and backward in the future, thank you
