Neje 4 Max extension rails

I would like to extend my Neje max 4 using the guide rail extension kit but at 1150 mm they are too long for the space that I have available. Does anyone know if they can be cut down to about 900 mm? I have a well equipped machine shop where I can do this accurately. Any advice would be appreciated.

It can be shortened, but can the screw hole be solved?

If it’s a continuous through hole in the extrusion, then it can simply be retapped with the appropriate thread. I’m more concerned with any implications in the Lighburn software. Can it be set to a custom sized work area?

Just modify the GRBL parameters $130$131 in lightburn, and then restart the lightburn software
