Can i convert the laser signal when its fires the beam to a 12v connected to relay . In order to connect a device that will work only when the relay is closed

I have a neje that the laser is 4 wiers and i need to have a laser 12v 2 wiers mean convert from 4 wiers to 2 wiers ( i will connect it to relay that will start other things
