Controller card for the NEJE E80 laser. My machine has two X and Y axes. What card can I use to operate the laser?

I’m new to laser cutting and have some questions.
I don’t know if I made a mistake purchasing the NEJE Max 4 controller card for my project. My cutting machine only has X and Y axes.
Do you think it will help me get my machine up and running?
You can flash the firmware to change the motherboard to only have XY axis
